But this may differ. You can look for the default IP address on the nameplate on the rear side of an ONT. This is the most correct way to query.

xBefore you start: If you change the LAN IP address, the new address will also be what you need to use to access the modem interface.
Important:
- Currently you are unable to change the Subnet Mask on the Huawei HG659. We are working to fix this as soon as we can.
- The default IP range for the guest Wi-Fi feature is 192.168.2.x so it will not work if you change it. However, using a different IP range e.g. 192.168.0.1 will work.
How to log into the modem
- Open your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox)
- In the address bar, type 192.168.1.254
- Press Enter
- Enter your Modem username (the default is admin)
- Enter your Modem password (the default is admin)
If you previously changed the username or password, you’ll need to enter those details to access the modem interface.
How to change the Host IP
- Login to the modem
- Click Home Network from the top menu.
- Click LAN Interface from the left.
- Click the heading LAN Interface Settings to show the LAN interface settings
- Click in the 1st quadrant field next to IP address.
- Delete the current entry and enter your new Host IP Address into each quadrant (the default is : 192.168.1.254).
Optional: You can also change the Device name.
- Click Save
